How To Take Care Of Your Skin This Monsoon!
The Indian monsoon is a season of heavy rainfall, humidity, muck, clogged pores and frizzy hair. But rather than cocooning yourself at home with a cup of tea and some pakoras due to the fear of ruining your hair and skin, follow these tips and take care of your hair and skin this monsoon!
Use A Sunscreen Lotion
Due to cloudy weather, people tend to believe that they're protected from the harsh effects of summer. This is absolutely not true. Glare can intensify and be more harmful. Therefore get yourself a high SPF waterproof sunscreen lotion and apply it every few hours.
Drink Plenty Of Water
Since the weather is cooler, people tend to forget the need to drink water in large quantities everyday. Please don't do that. Drink 6-8 glasses of water for fresh, glowing skin, healthy hair and a hydrated body.
Avoid Heavy Makeup
Ensure that the make up you use isn't too heavy so that your pores remain unblocked. Also, your make up should be water proof. Raccoon eyes aren't very attractive!
Face Washes for Oily Skin
Due to the humidity, people with oily skin tend to suffer the most. Whenever you come back home from a grueling day outside, wash your face with a mild face wash. We'd recommend that you check out the Lemon, Rose & Honey Face Wash for the same. For those with dry skin, please don't neglect your skin either. Wash your faces with our Sandalwood face wash!
Use a Mild Shampoo
Hair tends to get frizzy and unruly in the rains. Try your level best to cover your hair for protection when you go outside. Also, use a mild shampoo and don't forget to condition. we recommend the Reetha & Honey Shampoo the Aloe Vera & Jojoba Hair Conditioner! You should also oil your hair once a week.
Take Care of Your Feet
Indian monsoons are heavy and rainy which results in flooded or mucky roads. And since you walk on the streets, your feet might fall victim to all the harmful effects of the rains. Take care of them by regularly cleaning them out, especially if you have cracks; wearing appropriate footwear and going for pedicures. You can also try out the Neem & Turmeric Khadi Foot Scrub for clean, beautiful feet!
